HP Cabinet announces relief for cloudburst-hit families

Shimla, Aug 8 (UNI) In response to the devastating cloudbursts that struck Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla districts on August 1, resulting in the loss of 55 lives, the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has unveiled a comprehensive relief package and infrastructure enhancement plan, a statement said on Thursday.
The decisions of the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu included financial aid for affected families, rental support, and immediate relief measures.
Additionally, the Cabinet has approved the creation of hundreds of new healthcare posts and significant amendments to mining regulations to promote sustainable practices and support local landowners.
