HP: 11 trekkers missing on HP-Uttrakhand trekking route

Shimla, Oct 21(UNI) As may as 11 trekkers were missing on the trekking route between HP-UK border as they did not arrive for their schedule expedition at Chitkul village of Kinnaur district of Himachal, Deputy Commissioner Kinnaur, Abid Husain Sadik said here on Thursday.
As per information 8 trekkers and three cooks left for Chhitkul from Harsil in Uttarakhand on October 11 and were scheduled to arrived here on October 19 but they didn't arrive here and the authorities have not been able to contact them so far, Mr Sadik said.
He said that the trekkers are most likely stranded at the Lakhwaga pass, adding that he would update the information as soon as possible after finding their where about.
