How Hulladek is managing the e-waste like a pro

Kolkata, Dec 25 (UNI) There’s nothing left to establish that e-waste is slowly engulfing the whole country and has become a global issue, to address the bigger picture.
Companies like Hulladek are serving and acting on big scales to eradicate the e-waste generated in the household as well as in the commercial sectors.
Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd. is country’s leading Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) and east India’s first ever licensed (Central Pollution Control Board) and authorized company which takes charge of the e-waste management. Headquartered in Kolkata, the company provides door-to-door e-waste pickup services, ensuring that there’s no family falling into prey to the e-waste’s killing effects.
Founder of Hulladek, Mr. Nandan Mall says, ‘In a country where the development and technological advances are moving with the speed of light, someone should also be there to ward off the damage before the times comes and it gets to the point beyond which any repair can be done. It’s rather a work of pleasure and inspiration for me to contribute my part towards the environment and so should everyone else.’

India is the fifth largest producer of e-waste, making 30% upsurge in the graphs every year, according to a study by ASSOCHAM- cKinetics. Studies reveal that by the year 2020, India is likely to generate 52 MT of e-waste which is not quite far from now. The reason why this data should concern every citizen is that what appears to be harmless is holding back a potential arson, cancer and neurological damage in it. Almost everyone has some discarded Electronic devices and appliances at their homes which are further making a home for hazardous components like lead, cadmium, beryllium, or brominates flame retardants. The only way to not fall into the victim to these heavy substances is to recycle them or to put them in safe hands such as those of PROs because there’s no way the consumption of E-devices is going down.
The role of a PRO comes in when the producers of these electronic devices want a helping hand in doing the recycling and dismantling work. Hulladek channelize the waste collected from more than 1000 bulk customers to maintain a healthy environment to live in.

The company, Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd. came into existence after the e-waste law was enabled in May 2012, informed Founder of Hulladek, Mr. Nandan Mall.
A container vehicle is sent around the city and the staff never hesitate in lifting the e-waste in whichever condition from the premises and the same is being weighed and the scrap is brought to the collection center with cautious collection and transportation.
