Hotel owner injured in firing by two assailants in Ambala

Ambala, Dec 7 (UNI) Two unidentified motorcycle-borne allegedly assailants opened fire on the owner of a hotel after stopping his car near Bal Bhawan Ambala last night, police said on Saturday.
Hotel owner Rajesh was intercepted when he was going to his HUDA residence at around 2300 hrs after closing the hotel. Ahuja stopped the car and opened windowpane. One of the assailants on pillion "fired at Ahuja and the bullet hit his head". He was rushed to the civil hospital from where he was referred to the PGI Chandigarh in serious condition. The doctors, who is attending Ahuja, said that the bullet had hit his head and a piece from head pierced into the brain.
Manhunt was launched to nab the assailants but not succeeded till Saturday. The police raided a number of places suspected to be hide outs of the assailants.
