Hospitals geared up for combating Covid third wave threat: EG Collector

Kakinada, Jun 17 (UNI) East Godavari Collector D. Muralidhara Reddy has said that keeping in view the possible Covid third wave threat, the hospitals were being geared up to meet the situation by improving the infrastructure facilities, appointing medical and non medical staff besides imparting training under the special action plan.
Reviewing the progress on government’s priority programmes and schemes with the district, division and mandal level officials at the virtual mode meeting conducted from the Collectorate here on Thursday , Reddy said that though the covid cases were on decline in the district there should not be any complacency in the virus prevention and control measures.
He asked them to conduct the fever survey at village and ward secretariat level observing stipulated standards.
