Hope Foundation celebrates its 20th Annual Cultural and Education Day

The Hope Foundation commemorated its 20th Annual Cultural and Education Day on the theme “The Power of Humanity” by showcasing the Power of Humanity with 550 underprivileged children who will be performing different skits & dance forms Children this year are focusing mainly on protecting & conserving various resources of mother nature and also encouraging the ban of hazardous materials like plastics which harm various living beings in our environment.

On this occasion, Ms Maureen Forrest, Honorary Director, The HOPE Foundation proudly says, ‘The Hope Foundation has always been inclined towards protecting the underprivileged all over the world and promote girl’s empowerment towards their human rights and tackling the day to day challenges they face. This Annual Education and Cultural Programme gives an opportunity to the children to showcase their talent, to celebrate their childhood and most importantly to exercise their right to participation as – this event is organized by the children, for the children and of the children.’

The main aim of the organization is to give the children an opportunity to celebrate their childhood and innocence, a platform for them to showcase their very best.

FIR filed against journalist in Meghalaya

Shillong, Jul 6 (UNI) A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against senior journalist Padmashree Patricia Mukhim on charges of “inciting communal tension” after six non-tribal boys were assaulted by iron-rods and sticks at the basketball court in Lawsohtun Block-6 here in Meghalaya on July 3, by “masked miscreants”.
