Honour killing in Moradabad; police recover bodies of teacher and her lover

Moradabad, Jan 22 (UNI) A shocking case of honour killing has come to light in Moradabad district, where a woman teacher and her lover were brutally murdered by her three brothers, police said on Thursday. The bodies of both victims were buried in a field behind a temple. On Wednesday night, the police exhumed the bodies in the presence of a magistrate and sent them for post-mortem examination.
According to police, the case involves individuals from different communities. An FIR has been registered against the woman’s brothers based on a complaint filed by the lover’s father. Two brothers have been taken into custody.
The incident took place in Umri Sabzipur village under the Pakbada police station area. The woman, identified as Kajal, was pursuing her studies and also worked as a teacher in a private school. She had been in a relationship for the past two years with Armaan, a youth from the same village.
