Chandigarh, Mar 23 (UNI) HSIL Senior Vice-President and Director Raman Kumar Sharma today announced that Honda WR-V, the new sporty lifestyle sub-metre crossover vehicle of Honda Cars India Limited (HSIL) has crossed 4k mark in bookings just in a week of its launch since March 16. Interacting with media just after the launch of the vehicle here, Mr Sharma said, “Honda WR-V has got good response in the market and we have started delivering the vehicles to customers against the bookings but there is still waiting period of around one week on certain high end models.” "WR-V, based on globally successful Jazz platform, is the first model jointly developed by Honda Research and Development (R&D) India and Honda R&D Japan teams according to Indian requirements and achieving nearly 90 per cent of localisation of components used in it", Mr Sharma said. He added that for the convenience of the customers, the company has expanded its dealership and after sale service centres from 295 to 336 in 224 cities across the country during year 2016-17.
