Hollywood Director Sohan Roy elected to IATAS

Hyderabad, Jul 17 (UNI) Hollywood Director Sohan Roy has been elected as a member of the prestigious International Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences (IATAS) as a token of recognition for his significant contributions to the media industry, exclusively for the Marine, Medical and Movie Industries Internationally.
The main objective of the IATAS established in 1969, is to promote excellence in international television.
The organisation awards international Emmys to the best television programmes produced outside the United States, a statement said here today.

Bijapur (Chhattisgarh), Jan 22 (UNI) Maoists have fatally stabbed a police informer in Gangaloor Police Station limits.
“Some ultras reached the dwelling of Aanduram Poyam, took him with them, murdered him some distance away and dumped the corpse beside a road late Friday. It was found by us early Saturday,” Additional Superintendent of Police Pankaj Shukla said.
