Hockey, Volleyball players shot dead in Patiala

Patiala, Feb 20 (UNI) A national-level hockey player and his friend, a volleyball player, were shot dead at a roadside dhaba (eatery) in Partap Nagar here on Wednesday night.
The deceased Amrik Singh (hockey player) and Simranjit Singh (volleyball player) were employees of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, police said on Thursday.
As per police, both players had thrashed one Manoj and his son after an altercation at the dhaba. Later, Manoj brought a double barrel gun from his house and shot dead both Amrik Singh and Simranjit Singh.
