Hockey India congratulates Nita Ambani for IOC member nomination

New Delhi, Jun 4 (UNI) Hockey India president Narinder Dhruv Batra today congratulated Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, who has been nominated as a candidate to be a new member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
She is the first Indian woman to be nominated to the International Olympic Committee and this nomination comes as a recognition of her passionate work in the area of education and sports.
Expressing his delight on the development Batra said, “Mrs. Nita Ambani's dedication and passion for development of sport is laudable and that’s exactly why she fully deserves the membership to represent India at the International Olympic Committee.''
