Hindujas mulling Rs 7,000-cr unit in MP

Bhopal, Nov 13 (UNI) The Hinduja Group is considering establishment of a Rs 7,000-crore Ashok Leyland truck-manufacturing factory in Madhya Pradesh, it was officially learnt on Wednesday.
The crucial input was provided by Group Co-Chairman GP Hinduja in London during a discussion with Principal Secretary (Industry Policy and Investment Promotion) R Rajora. Mr Hinduja invited the senior bureaucrat for a related discussion at the Group headquarters.
“Besides, auto industries’ ancillaries – translating into Rs 4,000-5,000 cr of capital investment – will also be set up,” said Dr Rajora who met industrialist Swraj Paul at the House of Lords. Earlier, the Indian Administrative Service officer made a presentation regarding the state.

nCoV: Inspector tests positive, SSP office sealed in UP's Bareilly

Bareilly, Jul 8 (UNI) After another Inspector in the Bareilly police department tested positive, the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) was sealed for 48 hours, police said on Wednesday.
Bareilly SSP Shailendra Kumar Pandey said that due to the continuous increase in the COVID-19 cases, the office has been closed for the next 48 hours and will resume functioning on July 10. People can make their complaints online while serious concerns can be raised through mobile phones. The 'peshi' office was closed after the 'Head Peshi' was found to be COVID-19 positive on Monday evening.

Srinagar, Jul 8 (UNI) Security forces were on Wednesday deployed in strength across the valley, particularly south Kashmir and downtown Srinagar, to maintain law and order on the fourth death anniversary of Hizbul Mujahidden (HM) commander Burhan Wani, who was killed in an encounter with security forces along with two other militants on this day in 2016 in Anantnag.
