Himachal's Kullu Court convicts three in minor trafficking case

Shimla, July 15 (UNI) Three persons have been convicted and sentenced by a Special Court in Kullu for their involvement in the sexual exploitation and trafficking of a minor girl in a case registered at Manali Police Station in 2018.
According to Himachal Pradesh Police, the Court of the Special Judge-I, Kullu, convicted Shiv Shankar alias Sikandar Singh, Nitin Jain alias Manu and Baby Khan under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
Shiv Shankar was sentenced to 10 years' rigorous imprisonment with fines under Sections 376(2), 370(4) and 120-B IPC, along with Sections 4 and 6 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
