Himachal issues new home isolation guidelines

Hamirpur (HP), Jan 14 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh government issued fresh guidelines for home isolation for Covid-19 patients with mild symptoms or those asymptomatic, the state Health Ministry said.
People who were tested positive for the infection and have mild symptoms with or without fever, without shortness of breath, and have oxygen saturation of more than 93 per cent were eligible for home isolation after permission by a doctor, a Himachal Ministry of Health & Family Welfare spokesperson said.
Patients aged more than 60 years and those with co-morbid conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, chronic lung or liver or kidney disease and cerebral vascular disease would only be allowed home isolation after proper evaluation by a doctor, he said.
