Himachal continues to reel under dry weather

Shimla, Mar 26 (UNI) With mainly dry and partly cloudy weather in Himachal, the MeT department on Tuesday recorded 26 cm snow and 30 mm rain in Pooh of Kinnuar district and eight cm snow in Kalpa.
Report of light to moderate snowfall also reported in part of Kullu, Lahual Spiti, Kinnuar and Shimla district.
The Gateway to Lahaul Spitit district 13050 ft high Rohtang Pass which had 20 to 21 feet thick snowfall also got fresh snowfall.
The Election Commission of India gave the target to Border Road Organisation and State public works department to clear the snow from Rohtang pass by April 19 of next month as the notification for four Lok Sabha seat in the state would be held on April 22 and the polling is schedule on May 19 in the state.
Fresh rainfall and cold disrupted the election campaign as political parties are trying to revive their booth level party activists however the election campaign by most of poetical parties confined to indoor, media and social media.
Rainfall also occurred in Banjar in Kullu district had 31 mm, Rajgarh in Sirmaur 13 mm, Gohar
in Mandi 12 mm, Bijahi & Bhuntar in Kulllu 10 mm each, Rohru & Kufri in Shimla nine mm each,
Sarahan in Shimla & Seobagh in Kullu eight mm each, Kumarsen in Shimla & Janjehli of Mandi seven mm each Rampur, Suni, Mashobra & Sangrah of Sirmaur six mm each, Sunni Bhajji, Shimla & tourist resort Manali five mm each Pandoh, Mandi, Jogindernagar and Sujanpurtihra three mm each.
The Minimum temperature stayed three to four degree below normal as Keylong was coldest with minus 2.8
degrees and three degrees below normal. Kalpa 0.2 degrees, Manali 1.2 degrees, Kufri 1.6 degrees, Dalhousie
4.8 degrees, Shimla 5.7 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu seven degrees, Solan 7.5 degrees, Sundernagar 8

Dharamshala 10.2 degrees, Mandi 10.4 degrees and Kangara 10.9 degrees
Maximum temperature was normal to one degree below normal in the state as Shimla was 19.6
degree, Sundernagar 26.4 degrees, Bhuntar 23.4 degrees, Kalpa 12.6 degrees, Dharamshala 18.4
degrees, Una 29.2 degrees, Nahan 25 degrees, Keylong 6.6 degrees and Solan 24 degrees.
Manali was high at 18 degrees, Kangra 26.8 degrees, Mandi 25.3 degrees, Bilaspur 26.6 degrees
Hamirpur 27.1 degrees, Chamba 25.5 degrees, Dalhousie 13.3 degrees and Kufri 11 degrees respectively.
The Met Office forecast mainly dry weather in the state during next 24 hrs.

Bhopal, Jan 20 (UNI) Countries and foreign industrialists participating at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos-Klosters will be briefed regarding reforms in policies and positive decisions taken by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s dispensation – during its maiden year in office – with the goal of creating an investment-friendly environment in the state.
Over 3,000 business and political leaders are expected at the four-day gathering commencing on Tuesday. A high-level delegation accompanying the Chief Minister shall meet officials of more than 30 companies.

Bhopal, Jan 20 (UNI) With the objective of attracting investment, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath will have one-to-one interactions – with more than 15 industrialists of national and international repute – on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting scheduled in Davos-Klosters from Tuesday to Friday, official sources said.
The Chief Minister is heading a high-level delegation from the state.
