Shimla, June 6 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Council of Ministers on Tuesday decided to constitute a high-level panel to discuss levying of water cess on various power developers in the state.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presided over the meeting here.
A press release from the council of ministers stated that a committee will be formed under the chairmanship of the Secretary Power and include representatives from the Jal Shakti Vibhag, Finance Department, and Law Department to discuss the water cess that will be imposed on a variety of power projects.
