Himachal CM pays tribute to freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai

Shimla, Nov 17 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday paid floral tributes to freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai, popularly known as 'Punjab Kesari' on his death anniversary by garlanding his statue at Scandal Point here.

"Lala Lajpat Rai was a heavyweight veteran leader of the Indian Independence Movement, who inspired young men of his generation and kindled latent spirit of patriotism in their hearts with journalistic writings and lead-by-example activism," said Mr Thakur.
