High voter turnout in Ghatshila assembly bypoll; over 34pc voting recorded by 11 a.m.

Ranchi, Nov 11 (UNI) Voters turned out in large numbers for the Ghatshila Assembly by-election (Scheduled Tribe Reserved seat) in Jharkhand, where polling began at 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
According to the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, more than 34.32% of voters had cast their ballots by 11 a.m.
The polling, which started peacefully across all 300 polling stations, witnessed an enthusiastic response from youths, women, and elderly voters alike, who were seen queuing up early in the morning to exercise their democratic right.

RMC simplifies birth and death registration process for citizens

The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has taken an important step to further simplify, streamline and ensure timely registration of births and deaths within the area. Under the new arrangement, if a birth or death occurs in any hospital located within the municipal limits, citizens can now apply for registration on the spot through the concerned hospital itself.

Odisha man gets lifer for killing 11-yr-old boy
