High-level meet on smuggling held ahead of winter in Amritsar's Khasa :ADGP

Amritsar , 29 (UNI) A high-level meeting to curb the menace of smuggling in view of coming winter is convened by additional director general of police ( law and order) Ishwar Singh along with
officials of border range and senior official of border security force in attendance at khassa near here Thursday afternoon.
An official spokesman said the meeting discussed in details the measures to be taken to counter cross border intrusion activities which generally increased due to poor visibility in the foggy weather. Such meetings were held to counter the nefarious designs of anti-social elements, whose activities increase during winters, said the spokesman.
