Hertz, largest US car rental company files bankruptcy

Washington, May 23 (UNI) The Hertz Corporation, which is the largest car rental company in the US has declared bankruptcy in a media release citing a dramatic fall in demand triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The release said that Hertz decided to file for bankruptcy, as it is still "unknown" when the used-car market will fully re-open and the company's revenue will restore to previous levels.
As per release, reported by Sputnik, all of the company's subsidiaries globally are currently functional and are continuing their services while providing additional safety due to the ongoing pandemic.
