London, Jun 24 (UNI) The Indian men's hockey team outclassed Pakistan after a clinical performance in the classification match of the Hero Hockey World League Semi Final here today. With the help of Ramandeep Singh and Mandeep Singh's splendid two-ball goals, India trounced opponent Pakistan with a huge margin of 6-1. After this win, the Indian team will now play Canada for the fifth-sixth position. Goals by Ramandeep Singh (8', 28'), Talwinder Singh (25'), Mandeep Singh (27', 59'), Harmanpreet Singh (36') dented Pakistan’s hopes of booking a berth to participate at the Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018 in Bhubaneswar. Attacking right from the start, India interrupted Pakistan's counter attack successfully. Pakistan lost possession under pressure and India went 1-0 up in the eighth minute riding Ramandeep's goal. First it was Talwinder Singh who beautifully deflected the ball into the post in the 25th minute. Mandeep Singh got the touch on the ball before it beat the keeper to take India’s lead to a healthy 3-0 in the 27th minute. India’s fourth goal came in the 28th minute when Sunil assisted Ramandeep from the far post. It was a diving effort by Ramandeep that ensured he scored his second goal of the match.
