New Delhi, Nov 23 (UNI) The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday said that that the depression over southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm during next 24 hours and widespread rainfall activity are expected in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during November 24 to 25.
Very severe cyclonic storm “GATI” weakens into a Severe Cyclonic Storm over Somalia, the IMD further said.
The national weather bureau also said that the Depression over southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal moved nearly northwestwards in past six hours and lay centred about 600 km south-southeast of Puducherry and 630 km south-southeast of Chennai.
