Heavy police deployed at Faridkot after death of Dera follower

Kotkapura, Jun 18 (UNI) Smelling a deep-rooted conspiracy behind the death of Dera follower Gurdev Singh, who was shot by unidentified men at Burg Jawahar Singh village on June 9, followers of Dera Sacha Sauda today rejected to consign the body to flames, until the accused were arrested.
Police deployed more than 1300 policemen to check any untoward incident, in view of the agitation proposed by the Dera followers. The mode of agitation will be decided be later, said Mohinder Dal, state committee member of Dera Sacha Sauda.
Thousands of Dera followers assembled here to pay homage to Gurdev and also participate in the agitation, as they claimed to have lost faith in the police and administration.
