HC stays CBI court notice against Sukhdeo Singh

Ranchi, Jan 23 (UNI) The Jharkhand High court today put a stay on the notice issued by a special CBI court against state’s additional chief secretary planning and finance department Sukhdeo Singh.
The court of justice Apresh Kumar Singh put a stay on the notice which was issued by special CBI judge Shivpal Singh in which Mr Singh was asked to appear before the special CBI court in connection with fraudulent withdrawal of funds from the Deoghar treasury and asked the CBI to reply over the issue within a month.
During the hearing in case number RC64A/96 of the fodder scam which was related to fraudulent withdrawal of funds from the Deoghar treasury the special CBI judge had asked Mr Singh to appear before the court on January 23. Sukhdeo Singh was the then DC of Deoghar when the fodder scam took place.

UP: Six get lifer for murder of BSP MLA Raju Pal in 2005

Lucknow, March 29 (UNI) Six persons were held guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment along with a combined penalty of Rs 11.65 lakh by a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court here on Friday in more than 19-year-old case related to murder of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Raju Pal and his associates, an official spokesman said here.
