HC seeks report on draining of 16 MLD untreated pollutants by CETP Baddi

Shimla, Jul 13 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh High Court today sought a report from the state government over the draining out of about 16 MLD untreated pollutants by Common Effluent Treatment Plant at Baddi in the rivulets in Solan district.
Division Bench comprising the Chief Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir and Jutice Sandeep Sharma passed these orders on a petition taken up suo moto by the Court as Public Interest Litigation on a news item published in an English daily.
Directing the state government to come up with the status report on or before August 03, 2016, the court also impleaded Baddi Barotiwali Nalagarh Development Authority as party respondent in this matter.
