HC seeks reply from Lucknow police on Nutun Thakur's plea

Lucknow, May 10(UNI) The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court today sought reply from Lucknow Police on a petition of social activist Nutan Thakur, seeking CBI enquiry into the FIR registered by her against Uttar Pradesh mining minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, State Women Commission Chairman Zarina Usmani and others at Gomtinagar police station.
A division bench comprising Justices Ajai Lamba and Ravindra Nath Mishra-II said the petitioner has sought CBI enquiry in the matter, because she does not expect fair investigation from the police agencies of UP.
The Court said the petitioner alleged that firstly, the FIR was not registered, despite her presenting it before the police and subsequently, Final report was filed within three days without recording relevant references and no reasons for concluding so were presented.
