Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Sep 15 2016 4:11PM HC seeks govt's reply in Goan model plea in cheat, rape casePanaji, Sep 15 (UNI) The Bombay High Court at Goa today directed the state government to file its reply till tomorrow in the cheating and raping of an orphan girl on a false promise of marriage by Goan model Siddesh Dasrath Juvekar. On September 8, Juvekar was sentenced to seven-year imprisonment by South Goa Additional District Judge Sherin Paul for raping and cheating an orphan girl from Navelim. The court also sentenced Juvekar to three years imprisonment for having cheated the victim to the tune of Rs 5 lakh and directed him to pay the girl Rs 7 lakh as compensation. The Goan model, currently lodged at the Colvale Central Jail, moved the Bombay High Court for suspending the jail sentence while the victim has sought the court's intervention seeking enhancement of the jail term imposed on him.Please log in to get detailed story.Tags: #HC seeks govt's reply in Goan model plea in cheat# rape case
