HC quashes dismissal order of 129 staff of Veer Kunwar Singh University

Patna, Sep 16 (UNI) Patna High Court today quashed the dismissal order of 129 class three staff of Veer Kunwar Singh University maintaining that their appointment in eighties was legal.
Justice A K Upadhyay after hearing the arguments on petition filed by Vijay Kumar Mandal and others, quashed the dismissal order of 129 class three staff of Veer Kunwar Singh University and termed it as legal. Court delivered its verdict after hearing arguments of the counsel of the petitioners and the state.
When question was raised over the process of appointment of 129 class three staff of Veer Kunwar Singh University, a three member committee was constituted by the University to look into the matter which found their appointment valid. The University administration had even regularised their services but another committee constituted by Bihar government found several irregularities in appointment of 129 class three staff of the University. Later, on the directive of Bihar government, University administration removed all the 129 staff from the services.
