New Delhi, Nov 17 (UNI) A Delhi Court on Saturday after hearing a defamation complaint filed by Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Chandra passed a discharge order in favour of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The court observed that Chandra had not followed the proper procedure while filing his plea before the court.
Gulshan Kumar Sachdeva, power of attorney of Chandra, had filed a complaint against Mr Kejriwal on November 17, 2016 and sought prosecution against Kejriwal for allegedly defaming by levelling false allegations in the wake of demonetisation. It was submitted by the complainant that Kejriwal while addressing a press conference on November 11,2016 made false, fabricated and defamatory allegations against Chandra which caused serious harm to the reputation of Chandra by imputing behaviour incompatible with proper conduct and suggestions of involvement in illegal activity.
