HC issues notice to the Maha Assembly speaker & MLAs of Sharad Pawar fiction on disqualification

Mumbai, Feb 21 (UNI) The Bombay High Court on Wednesday issued notice to Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar and ten MLAs from the NCP Sharad Pawar faction on a petition filed by Anil Patil, chief whip of the NCP faction led by state Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, seeking their disqualification.
A division bench of Justices Girish Kulkarni and Firdosh Pooniwalla, while issuing the notice, directed the respondents to file their reply affidavits before the next date of hearing on March 14.
The court has also issued notice to the Maharashtra Legislature Secretariat.

Mumbai July 10 (UNI) After withdrawing the petition from the Bombay High Court, Aman Khatri, an IIT Mumbai student, has filed a plea before a special SC-ST court seeking discharge in an abetment- to-suicide case of his batch mate Darshan Solanki, who died on February 12, 2023 after jumping from the seventh-floor of his hostel building in Powai area of Mumbai suburb.
