HC gives respite to Rahul Gandhi in defamation case

Ranchi, Jan 21 (UNI) The Jharkhand High Court today gave respite to Congress chief Rahul Gandhi in a defamation case.
The court of justice S Chandrashekhar has rejected the order of a lower court in which an order was given to issue summon to Mr Gandhi following a defamation case filed against him by a BJP worker Naveen Jha accusing him of making objectionable statements against BJP’s national president Amit Shah.
The court has also issued notice to the complainant Naveen Jha in the case and has fixed the next date of hearing after four weeks. Jha had described the comments as an aim to dent the image of the nation's largest political party.
