HC defers hearing on Priyanka's petition against RTI activist

Shimla, Jul 28 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh High Court today deferred hearing on Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's petition challenging State Information Commission's order to allow RTI application related to Ms Vadra's properties at Shimla and Delhi.
The RTI application has been filed by activist Devashish Bhattacharya, which has been challenged by Ms. Vadra saying that information about SPG protected persons should not be made public.
Hearing the matter, a single judge bench of Justice Tralok Singh Chauhan deferred the hearing till September 9 this year to hear the merits of RTI seeking the detail about Ms. Vadra's house at Delhi. The court also dismissed another application field by the RTI activist before the court relating to SIT probe report about waiving off the section 118 by in the state government.
