HC defers anticipatory bail plea of Bishop Mulakkal to Sep 25

Kochi, Sep 18 (UNI) In a relief to the agitating nuns, demanding the arrest of Jalandhar Bishop Franco Mulakkal, who is allegedly facing rape charges against a nun, the Kerala High Court deferred the hearing of the anticipatory bail application, moved by the Bishop, to September 25.
The Court also sought the opinion of the Kerala government on the issue and told to submit it by September 25.
Bishop Mulakkal, who was summoned by the Kerala police to appear before the investigation officers at Kottayam on September 19, moved the anticipatory bail, fearing a possible arrest by the investigating officials, had said that he had been implicated for taking action against the nun.
