Mumbai, Aug 22 (UNI) The Bombay high court on Thursday directed the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the city police to register a first information report (FIR) within five days in the Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank scam, involving top politicians of NCP -- Ajit Pawar, Vijaysingh Mohite-Patil and Anand Adsul, who were among the directors and accused of allegedly swindling the bank of thousands of crores.
A division bench of Justices Satyaranjan Dharmadhikari and Justice Sandeep Shinde passed an order during the hearing of a public interest litigation (PIL), filed by activist Surendar Aroa, seeking direction to register FIR in the scam.
