Have jurisdiction to probe DA case against Virbhadra Singh: CBI

New Delhi, Jan 12 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today told the Delhi High Court that it has the jurisdiction to register and probe the disproportionate assets (DA) case against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and his wife.
"CBI has all the power to register a case and it has not violated any law nor has exceeded its jurisdiction by lodging a case against the accused persons (Singh and his wife)," the probe agency submitted before Justice Pratibha Rani.
After hearing brief arguments, Justice Rani sought written legal submissions from both sides and listed the matter for further hearing till February 25.

They were arrested by the Enforcement Directorate under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
