Have expressed willingness to form govt, talks with other parties still on: Aaditya Thackeray

Mumbai, Nov 11 (UNI) Shiv Sena scion and newly-elected MLA Aaditya Thackeray here on Monday stated that the party has expressed willingness to form government before Governor, and talks between Sena and other parties are going on in this regard.
Talking to mediapersons, post meeting Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Mr Aaditya said that after the BJP's refusal, the Sena being the "second-largest party" was invited to form the government.
"Our party leader Eknath Shinde received a letter from the Governor yesterday," he told, adding that a 24-hour deadline loomed over Sena to respond to the invite.
"We reached Raj Bhavan by 18:45 hours even before the expiry of deadline, and have expressed willingness before the Governor to form the government, and asked 48 hours time extension for fulfilment of procedures," he briefed.
"However, the Governor has rejected our request for time extension," he apprised.
Delving into wordy details, he mentioned that the Governor has rejected the request for time extension but not the claim to form government.
Referring to the Congress and NCP as "other parties" during the whole talk, he asserted that the "in principle talks" between Sena and them are going on for allying to install the impending government.
"To give a stable government is our (Sena's) responsibility," he added.
In his closing remarks, Mr Aaditya underscored the issue of farmers distress, and affirmed that Sena workers are engaged in helping the affected ryots.

Nagpur, Jan 19 (UNI) Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Sunday said his ministry has planned to spend Rs 5 lakh crore on infrastructure development in the financial year 2020.
Speaking at the inaugural function of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) here Mr Gadkari said, "We gave contracts worth Rs 17 lakh crore in the last five years. And this year we are planning to target to allot Rs 5 lakh crore on infrastructure development, Gadkari said, adding there is no dearth of money.
