Haryana will set up Custom Hiring Centres

Chandigarh, June 28 (UNI) In view of crops residue management and to prevent farmers from burning the crops residue, Haryana Government will set up Custom Hiring Centres, at the cost of Rs 215 crore in the state, under a special action plan.
While giving this information, an official spokesman said that as many as 90 Custom Hiring Centres would be set up in district Jind. The centres would be set up to ensure proper management of crops residue and prevent the farmers from burning it.
All machines and tools related to agriculture would be available in these centres and farmers can take agricultural machines or equipment on rent at nominal rates for farming works.
