Haryana to redesignate physical education director in govt colleges

Chandigarh, May 27 (UNI) Haryana government has decided to redesignate the Director of Physical Education working in Government aided colleges as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, as is in case of Government colleges.
Stating this here today, Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said that this was the long standing demand of the lecturers of Physical Education in Government Aided Colleges. In government colleges they are already designated as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. He said that it was observed that different designations for similar jobs and similar qualifications create discrimination among the individuals.
He said that lecturers of Physical Education of Government aided colleges had called on him to change their designation. Therefore,in view of their genuine demand, it was decided to redesignate them.
