Haryana to give Rs 61 cr subsidy for optimum utilisation of crop residue

Chandigarh, Nov 27 (UNI) Haryana government would give subsidy of Rs 61 crore for the optimum utilisation of crop residue up to December 2017 to reduce pollution in the state.
A decision to this effect was taken in the seventh state level meeting of the committee constituted to reduce pollution in NCR held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary D S Dhesi here on Monday.
It was informed by the Agriculture department that the farmers were being encouraged not to burn crop residue and if any farmer was found doing so, cases were being registered such farmers by police.
