Haryana to appoint 27 outstanding state players as coaches

Chandigarh, Jun 24 (UNI) Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij on Monday said that the state government has decided to appoint 27 outstanding players of the state on the post of Coach and appointment letters to these players would be issued soon.
The Minister said that according to the revised sports policy - 2018, the participants and medal winners of the Commonwealth Games, Rio Paralympic, Special Olympics, Asian Games, Rio Olympic and Asian Paralympic Games have been included in the list.
He said that the players who would be appointed as Coaches included Pooja in Para Archery, Karam Jyoti in Para Athletics, gold medal winner Manjit Nandal in Judo, Pooja Dhanda who secured second place in wrestling in National Games, gold medal winner Keshav Malik in Special Olympics, Poonam Chopra Bronze medal winner in Judo in Asian Games, silver medal winner Manish Kaushik in boxing in Commonwealth Games, participant of Rio Olympics, Shivani in Swimming, gold medal winner Seema in wrestling in Commonwealth Games, silver medal winner, Rani, Navneet Kaur and Monika in Hockey in Asian Games.
