Haryana : SLSC approves Rs 60 cr annual action plan under PMKSY-WDC

Chandigarh, Jul 9 (UNI) The State Level Sanctioning Committee met under the chairpersonship of Haryana Chief Secretary Keshni Anand Arora here on Thursday, approved annual action plan of Rs 60 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY)- Watershed Development Component (WDC) for the year 2020-21.
She directed the officers to conduct an impact evaluation of the projects based on the covered area, treated area, forest area, farmers benefitting from the project and areas under irrigation and prepare a report.
The Chief Secretary was apprised in the meeting that 28 Watershed Development Projects will be set up in Gurugram, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Sonipat, Palwal and Mewat districts on an area of 1,25,573 hectare. It was also informed that under the Integrated Watershed Management Program (IWMP), earlier about Rs 128 crore have already been spent so far.
