Haryana revises selection criteria of ASHA workers

Chandigarh, Oct 31 (UNI) Haryana Health Department has overhauled the selection criteria of ASHA workers and simplified the payment procedure, a senior Health official said on Saturday.
Mission Director, National Health Mission, Haryana Prabhjot Singh said the minimum qualification of ASHA workers has been fixed as Class 10th pass, except the area covered under Mewat Development Authority i.e Nuh District and Hathin Block of Palwal, where it would be Class 8th pass.
Furthermore, the age limit for enrollment of ASHA will be between 25 to 45 years and services of ASHA workers will be dispensed with after attaining the age of 60 years with effect from April 1, 2021.
