Chandigarh, May 29 (UNI) Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Agarwal on Wednesday announced that the sixth phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha Election, held in the state on May 25, recorded an average voter turnout of 64.80 percent.
The CEO said that the voter turnout was slightly lower than the previous election due to the heatwave. Nonetheless, he commended the voters of Haryana for their cooperation with the commission's staff in conducting a free and transparent election.
He said that Sirsa (LS constituency 03) recorded the highest voter turnout at 69.77 percent, with 1,351,932 voters casting their votes. Among them, there were 729,125 men, 622,786 women, and 21 voters in the 'other' category. The total number of voters in Sirsa was 1,937,689.
