Haryana: Police intensifies monsoon traffic management in Gurugram

Panchkula, Jun 16 (UNI) The Haryana Police have directed all Station House Officers (SHOs) and Police Post In-Charges in Gurugram to maintain continuous field surveillance and ensure immediate response to incidents of waterlogging and traffic congestion amid ongoing rainfall, as part of efforts to keep traffic moving smoothly during the monsoon season.
The directions were issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Sandeep, IPS, during a review meeting with SHOs, Police Post In-Charges and other police officers under the East Zone on Monday. The meeting focused on preparedness measures to deal with traffic disruptions caused by rainfall and waterlogging in vulnerable areas of the city.
The DCP instructed officers to ensure adequate deployment of police personnel at major roads, intersections, underpasses and locations prone to waterlogging where traffic movement is likely to be affected. He emphasized that traffic regulation and public convenience should remain the top priority during adverse weather conditions.
