Haryana police busts 117 criminal gangs in 1st half of 2020

Chandigarh, Jul 12 (UNI) After a massive state-wide crackdown on notorious criminals to check crime graph, Haryana Police, during first half of 2020, have busted 117 criminal gangs which were active in the state and suspected to be responsible for various heinous crimes like dacoity, robbery, burglary, theft among other crimes.
Stating this here on Sunday, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Navdeep Singh Virk said following directives issued by the Police Headquarters, all the field units including Special Task Force, intensified efforts to check the crime graph by sustained action against criminal gangs which had the desired results in putting various notorious and dreaded criminals behind bars.
As a result of a comprehensive strategy, Police have busted 117 dreaded criminal gangs including three involved in dacoity, 11 in robbery, 23 in burglary, 43 in theft and 37 others engaged in various other criminal activities in the state.

Bhopal, Nov 29 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed satisfaction on Sunday over the rate of novel coronavirus infection declining in the state owing to ceaseless endeavours.
“Earlier; approximately 1,800 fresh cases were being reported daily but that figure has declined to the vicinity of 1,500. However, greater alertness is imperative vis-à-vis Indore and Bhopal districts where containment zones have been demarcated,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying during a review meeting.

4 babies die on single night at govt hosp

Shahdol, MP, Nov 29 (UNI) The District infirmary administration has gone into a tizzy after four infants died at the Special New-born Care Unit on the intervening night of November 26-27.
Civil Surgeon VS Bariya attributed one of the fatalities to pneumonia but denied any negligence on part of the hospital staff.

Jyotiraditya to meet MP CM

Bhopal, Nov 29 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party stalwart and Rajya Sabha Member Jyotiraditya Scindia is scheduled to meet Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday during a visit to the state capital.
Sources said that the erstwhile central minister will arrive here from Delhi by air in the morning. Subsequent to the key meeting, the former parliamentarian shall depart for Orchha to attend a programme and then return to the national capital via Gwalior.
