Haryana police bags SKOCH award for its 'Durga Shakti app'

Chandigarh, Aug 30 (UNI) After receiving the FICCI Smart Policing Award for its initiative on training and capacity building and community policing last week, the Haryana police has once again bagged Skoch Bronze Award for its ‘Durga Shakti App’ during the Skoch Summit-2019.
Stating this here Friday, a police department spokesman said Gurugram Commissioner of Police Muhammad Akil, who also holding the additional charge of ADGP, Headquarters, received the highest independent honour in the country on behalf of Haryana police at a function held in the national capital on Thursday.
Congratulating the police officers, Director General of Police Manoj Yadava said it is a matter of great pride that State Police has bagged the prestigious award in recognition of services provided to the women in distress through Durga Shakti App. He also congratulated the team of Durga Shakti App for their excellent performance and recognition at the national level.
