Haryana: Man arrested for assaulting lift operator in Gurugram

Panchkula, June 13 (UNI) Haryana Police have arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly assaulting a lift operator at a residential society in Gurugram and recovered the wooden stick used in the attack, officials said today.
According to police, the incident occurred on June 9 at Signature Global Orchid Avenue in Sector-93, Gurugram. Information regarding the assault was received by the Sector-93 Police Post under Sector-10 Police Station. A police team immediately reached the spot and found that the injured lift operator had been admitted to AIIMS for medical treatment.
In a complaint submitted on June 12, the victim stated that he works as a lift operator in the society. He alleged that after receiving information about a malfunctioning lift, he reached the location, but the person trapped inside had already exited. Subsequently, an argument broke out, during which some individuals present in the security room, along with the accused, allegedly abused and assaulted him.
