Haryana is first state to start farm tourism

Chandigarh, Oct 14 (UNI) Haryana Tourism Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said that Haryana is the first state to start Farm Tourism to attract tourists towards villages and fields.
The Minister said that under the scheme, special holiday packages were being offered to tourists at registered farms near Delhi.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Haryana was continuously moving forward in the field of tourism. Besides, the state government is also leading in terms of promoting ancient arts and crafts and folk arts by organising various fairs and festivals. The Tourism department organises Surajkund International Crafts Mela in Surajkund (Faridabad) from February 1 to 15 every year, he added.
