Haryana introduces PG hostels for cattle

Chandigarh, Oct 22 (UNI) Haryana government on Sunday introduced a new concept to facilitate those people who live in high-rise buildings in urban areas, but also want to rear cattle to produce milk.

Addressing a press conference here, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister O P Dhankar said that under this ambitious project, which will be first of its kind, about 50 to 100 acres of land would be earmarked in a town to set up ‘PG hostels for cattle’ thus providing a central place for milch cattle.
