Haryana govt sets up 1627 vaccination centres: CS

Chandigarh, Apr 11 (UNI) On the appeal of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to further augment the vaccination drive by observing “Teeka Utsav” from April 11 to April 14, 2021, the Haryana Health Department has set up 1627 COVID-19 Vaccination Centres which administered 1,13,917 vaccine doses to the beneficiaries on Sunday in the state.
Sharing information in this regard, Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Rajeev Arora said that the Health Department has administered 1,13,917 Covid-19 vaccine doses today thereby enhancing the consolidated number of vaccine doses administered till date to 24,69,233 doses.
On the COVID-19 Vaccine Roll Out plan, Mr Arora said that, with an aim to ensure that the vaccine is administered to maximum number of people, the Department had set up more Vaccination Centres across the state. He further elaborated that these Centres have been strategically placed in highly populated areas across the state and even in the rural areas to ensure maximum penetration of the vaccine so as to curtail the spread of highly contagious COVID-19 virus. Most of the beneficiaries were above 45 years of age, he added.
